providing non-judgmental support, ritual and practical care for life’s transitional moments
All losses deserve to be held and honored in their own way. GRIEF HOUSE is a project that aims to resource and bear witness to people who are dying, grieving, and making choices that are life-affirming.
It was created in 2023 by Lucy Moran, a death worker, sex educator, artist and parent who is deeply invested in discovering radical systems of care. Her work is rooted in bodily autonomy, stigma reduction, and the belief that we need each other to survive.
Lucy completed The Dying Year’s End of Life Doula program in October 2021, and is a member of the National End of Life Doula Alliance (NEDA). She is a certified holistic sex educator, and a graduate of the Institute for Sexuality Education and Enlightenment (ISEE). She completed BADT’s Abortion Doula Training in 2021, and has taken many other courses to better support pregnancy release and loss, including those from full-spectrum midwife Molly Dutton-Kenny, and abortion doula and herbalist Daena Horner.
